Frost Valley YMCA is excited to introduce you to some of our new and returning Day Camp staff. We’ve put together a fantastic team to work with your campers this year and while this isn’t our full roster, we’ve asked some of our Day Camp staff members to introduce themselves to parents and guardians in their own words.

Day Camp Assistant Director
 
I’m Darby, one of the Day Camp Assistant Directors. This is my 12th summer working for Frost Valley’s Day Camp. A fun fact to know about me is that I’m always dancing.  

Rebecca Day
Day Camp Assistant Director

Hi! My name is Rebecca, but you may also call me Otter! I am very excited to join the Day Camp Crew this summer! I come from Rose, a small town in the Finger Lakes. In 2018 I graduated from SUNY Cortland with a Bachelors degree in International Studies. My favorite activities involve hanging out with animals, snacking, playing video games and dnd, learning languages, and of course, camping and being outside. I have always appreciated the summer camp world and hope to give children the best days of their lives here at Frost Valley!

Ximena Cortes
Day Camp Senior Counselor

My name is Ximena and I’m from Mexico. This is my first summer at Frost Valley. My favorite food is tacos and my favorite color is black. I’m the most excited about getting to know the campers and teaching them new skills.

Kalic Perry
Day Camp Senior Counselor
 
My name is Kalic and I’m  from Liberty, NY and this is my fourth summer working at Frost Valley. My favorite food is calamari and my favorite color is chartreuse. I’m the most excited about seeing past campers and meeting all the new ones!

Evie Bateman
Day Camp Senior Counselor

My name is Evie and I’m  from the UK and this is my first summer at Frost Valley. My favorite food is cheesy garlic bread and my favorite color is lilac. I’m the most excited about meeting all the kids and enjoying the sun!

Frost Valley’s Day Camp staff recently welcomed campers to our second session of day camp.
