Frost Valley is pleased to announce that Tonye Freeman has been named the new Director of Community Programs. Working under the supervision of Jessie Emmons, Director of Youth Development and Innovation, Tonye will oversee all of Frost Valley’s Day Camp programs, School Break Camps, Community Events, and its After School Program at Tri-Valley Elementary School

Tonye Freeman was born and raised in the Hudson Valley. She graduated from Fallsburg Jr./Sr. High School and received a degree in Graphic Design from SUNY Sullivan. Tonye first started working at Frost Valley in 2015 as a Day Camp Counselor. It was then she realized how much she enjoyed working with kids. After that summer, she began working in the Liberty School District and also as a member of Frost Valley’s After School Staff in the Tri-Valley School District, in addition to coming back to Frost Valley each summer as a Day Camp Counselor. In her free time, Tonye enjoys spending time with her family, especially her niece and nephew who are twins. She also loves learning new crafts projects, playing video games and Pokemon, and watching and playing all sports. 

“I am excited to get to know my community on a deeper level as the Community Programs Director for Frost Valley,” says Tonye Freeman. 

“I am very excited for Tonye to be a part of our Community Programs Team,” says Jessie Emmons, Director of Youth Development and Innovation. “Tonye has worked in Community Programs since 2015 as a member of our After School program staff, day camp staff, as After School Site Supervisor, and as Day Camp Assistant Director. We are so happy to have her in this new role. She has a strong connection to the community, and I can’t wait to see what great things she brings to our programs as the new Community Programs Director!”
