“Don’t tell my mom I ate a vegetable!!!!”

Ronnie Bruno, the Forest Village Chief took this great shot of his camper Sebastian running away from the camera to avoid documenting the moment he ate an actual vegetable!

The boy’s from Hyde and Watson 3 spent yesterday afternoon in the Healthy Kitchen making kale chips  and fruit smoothies. The healthy kitchen program encourages campers to be more mindful of the snacks and food we eat and to have hands on experience of cultivating, preparing and cooking the food. The garden and farm at Frost Valley provide so many fresh vegetable and fruit and we even have our own Frost Valley eggs, honey and maple syrup.

Camp is a great place to try new things and step out of our comfort zone so big thumbs up to Sebastian and his cabin mates for being inquisitive and willing participants in yesterdays activity.
