Weekend for Scouts in the Catskills Out of concern for public health, this program is cancelled. Learn more about Frost Valley's COVID-19 updates here. Develop camping skills such as knot tying, fire building, ropes activities, and campfire cooking, as well as learning about wildlife during both day and night hikes. Winter weekends may include cross-country skiing and other snow activities, weather permitting. East Valley Ranch is located just two hours north of New York City on a stretch of fields and woodlands along the Neversink River in the Catskill Mountains. CANCELLED: Maple Sugaring Open House
This program is cancelled. Learn more about Frost Valley’s COVID-19 updates here. Visit one of Frost Valley’s maple sugar open houses to learn about how pure maple syrup is made. See the tap to table process, identify a sugar maple tree, see our evaporator, and try a sample of fresh syrup. Our Maple Sugar/Sap House is 1 mi. east of our main entrance at 2000 Frost Valley Road. Advance registration is not required unless you plan to stay for the weekend. For more information contact the Natural Resource Department at 845-985-2291 ext. 217.
