Farm Camp Has a Theme Day!
Today, Farm Camp was taken over by the counselors, who planned a theme day called, “Marissa’s Frost Valley *Barn* Mitzvah.” This summer is in fact my thirteenth summer at camp, and the counselors and campers chose to celebrate my tenure, and Farm Camp, with a day full of fun activities, culminating in a huge dance party.
Starting in the afternoon, campers were invited to a carnival where they had the opportunity to play games, make edible jewelry and get their fortunes told. Campers also got their faces painted and painted a chair for the Barn Mitzvah festivities. The highlight of the day, was definitely throwing whip cream pies at the directors! The afternoon was warm, so our counselors decided to make our Slip n’ Slide an option for our campers who needed to cool off.
Tonight, we will finish off this awesome theme day with a dance party in our dining hall!
It was great to spend the day as one camp, and we look forward to more weekend festivities tomorrow, starting with sleeping in!
