Farm Campers Become Barn Professionals!
One of the most coveted program areas at the Farm is our animal barn. In the past days, the campers have met all of our animals which include, goats, cows, bunnies, sheep, chickens, alpacas and our favorite Llama, Batman! Not only do the campers have a blast playing with the animals, but they also have the opportunity to learn about how a fully functioning animal farm works. During chores, campers have fed the animals, mucked the stalls and milked the goats. In specialty periods, campers have done everything from learning about the behavioral traits of each age group of goats, to discussing responsible and humane farming tactics.
We’re so excited for our campers to spend even more time in the barn throughout the rest of the session, otherwise the animals would miss them too much!
