First Day of Summer at East Valley Ranch!

Hello lovely parents and friends of our East Valley Ranch Campers!

Once the girls setting into their yurts yesterday and got to know everyone, they went on a tour of our wonderful camp, and enjoyed pasta for dinner and brownies for dessert!

Is there any better way to start a camp by having a CAMPFIRE?! The girls learned lots of new camp songs, performed skits, and showed off their talents. We saw gymnasts, and had lots of singers perform. They ended the night by roasting marshmallows over the fire and enjoying s’mores.

Today, we started our day as we do everyday. The girls watched the horses being wrangled for breakfast, and saw them run down the road past their yurts to go to the barn. We then had our first flag raising- seen in the image. This is where the girls celebrate something whether it be from yesterday, or something that they are excited for today. The girls have started their first day of horseback riding. Our barn managers know our horses so so well, and pair them up with what camper they think would suit them best! The girls will each be given their own horse for the whole time that they are here. They have learned how to lead, tie, groom and tack the East Valley horses, so that from tomorrow, when they are assigned their own horse, they can do this to their own horses and fall in love with them as much as we do! While not at the barn, the girls have taken a hayride down to our waterfront which is based at the Farm so that they can cool off in the creek.

I have started to upload photos to SmugMug so keep an eye out on them!

Hope you are all having a lovely day!
