First Official Day
All of our Adventure Village (AdVill for short) campers and counselors have survived, and thoroughly enjoyed their first full day here. We started off with a hearty breakfast to fuel us up for a morning full of project adventure! Project Adventure is a time when campers figure out how to solve problems or complete tasks as a group rather than as individuals.
Then they got to know their counselors and fellow tent-mates even better during ‘tent-time’ where each counselor pics an activity to do just with their own tent.
After such a relaxed morning, the afternoon was filled with high adventure! Campers got to choose between doing the zipline, our high ropes course, climbing on the Y-tower, or exploring the creek! Then everyone got to take a dip in the lake before dinner to cool down.
Tonight, our adventure counselors in training (AIT’s) have a special game planned for us! I’m sure AdVill will sleep well tonight!

Zach eigenbrodt
Born and raised in Wisconsin, Zach couldn't keep himself out of the woods when growing up. He started working at a Northern Wisconsin YMCA Camp as a wilderness trip leader while in college and fell in love with getting kids into nature. The smiles on kids faces after returning from a once in a life time wilderness experience is why he is here today. Zach brought his talents to Frost Valley YMCA, in 2014, when he started as the Trips Coordinator and soon was promoted to Adventure Director. Zach loves all forms of Wilderness exploration, though some would say his heart lies most with canoeing.
