Frost Valley YMCA Announces Immediate Openings in Little Rainbows Daycare For Children of Essential Workers

In support of the urgent need for childcare for the families of essential workers who are committed to protecting our communities during the “New York State on PAUSE” executive order, Frost Valley YMCA announces immediate availability of several spots in its Little Rainbows Daycare.

Under the executive order signed by Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, essential workers include employees needed to provide healthcare, food and agriculture, pharmacies for prescription medications, law enforcement, power utilities, and others deemed necessary by New York State Government. Frost Valley understands the difficult decisions these workers are faced with when it comes to caring for their families while also protecting our communities. Everyone at Frost Valley is incredibly grateful for their services and is pleased to offer these daycare spots to such families.

“Knowing the strain essential workers are facing right now, we are pleased to offer a number of spots in our Little Rainbows Daycare to give these vital workers some peace of mind, knowing their children are well-cared for while they are serving the crucial needs of our community,” says Jerry Huncosky, Frost Valley’s CEO.

Little Rainbows is a fully licensed daycare through the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, serving infants through pre-K. Located in Frost Valley’s newly renovated cottage on Frost Valley Road in Claryville, Little Rainbows is open from 7:00 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Three- and five-day programs are available with low rates and financial assistance available.

Given the current circumstances, Frost Valley is committed to practicing proper social distancing, disinfecting all surfaces and program equipment multiple times daily, and implementing other stringent health precautions during this urgently needed program.
