Frost Valley YMCA’s Day Camp Opens in August!

With all that’s going on in the world and the amount of stress families are under right now, the thought of children having nowhere to spend their summer running and playing in the great outdoors was just heartbreaking, which is why we wanted to find a way to provide Day Camp in some capacity.

After having carefully considered and planned for safety protocols in accordance with CDC and state guidelines regarding Covid-19, Frost Valley has decided to offer a limited-run Summer Day Camp for children ages 5-12 beginning August 3, 2020. Registration opens Monday, June 29th.

The number of campers will be limited to 38 to allow for programming in small groups of ten in accordance with state regulations. Children will enjoy plenty of outdoor games and sports, hiking, arts and crafts, and while we won’t be offering waterfront at this time, campers will cool off with fun water games including our slip and slide.

This special Day camp will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in one-week sessions with a limit of 38 campers per session. Busing is not available.

Session 1: Aug. 3-7 – only 13 spots remaining

Session 2: Aug. 10-14 – only 12 spots remaining

Session 3: Aug. 17-21 – filling fast

Session 4: Aug. 24-28 – filling fast

Session 5: Aug. 31-Sept. 4 – filling fast

Parents will be responsible for providing a bagged lunch for their camper. Children will receive an afternoon snack. Campers will also be required to have a face mask to be worn while groups are moving about the camp between activities.
