Experience some of the best cross-country skiing New York State has to offer! Set on 5,500 acres deep in the Catskill Mountains, Frost Valley YMCA offers over 25 kilometers of trails. Whether it’s the miles of beautiful back-country trails, or skiing beside pristine streams, there’s something for all ages and abilities! We also offer groomed and track set trails when conditions allow. Ensure that trails are open before you visit by calling our ski hotline at 845-985-2291 ext 396 for the most up to date information about the trail conditions.
For day visitors, please call (845) 985-2291, ext 396 to check availability for Cross Country Skiing each weekend.
All other dates we will be closed to day guests due to the number of overnight guests on property. We always welcome additional guests to come stay at Frost Valley YMCA for the weekend and ski! Cross Country Skiing is typically open on Saturdays from 9:30am-4:30 and Sundays from 9:30am-12:30pm from December through March. All guests must check in at our Welcome Center. Everyone over age 18 is required to present a driver’s license to ski on our trails. In accordance with the Frost Valley YMCA’s commitment to the safety of our guests, we have adopted the use of the RaptorWare® system for all adult guests. This program is a new security measure that will incorporate a search of the National Sex Offender Registry.The implementation of this system provides another layer of protection for the children and guests visiting Frost Valley YMCA.
We no longer accept reservations for day groups, and will rent equipment on a first come, first served basis. We apologize for any inconvenience.
A full day rate is $40 per person, and a half day rate (starting at 12:00pm) is $25 per person. This rate includes a trail pass, lunch, and access to all Frost Valley activities. Rentals are $12 for a full day and $6 for a half day.
