Hey Everyone At Home!
Our first day and half of camp have been a little on the wet side…and when I say a little…it really means a lot! But don’t worry – this doesn’t stop our adventurers! Yesterday the group took a small tour of camp and played some teambuilding games, as well as went over some expectations before dinnertime. After a dinner of pizza goodness, our troop headed over to the chapel for the opening campfire. After a few rounds of “two blind jelly fish,” “going on a lion hunt,” some guitar playing by Dylan (a counselor), learning two classic Adventure cheers and a few Adventure specific quirks our group was laughing and cheering and screaming for the fun of it! After that, an evening devotion, followed by getting ready for bed ended the evening.
Today, although waking up to some drizzle, our group still persisted with activities. The indoor climbing wall was a big hit, as well as some group games (including a “pass the orange” ice breaker – check out the photos on smugmug!). Now, the group is at the zipline – speeding through the rain!!
