Yesterday was a very silly day, indeed, in Adventure Village.  In fact, it was so hectic that we didn’t have time to blog about it until today! Yesterday was Adventure Village’s first ever theme day with the theme of Monty Python.  Activities were planned around the sketch comedy show, Monty Python and the Flying Circus, in addition to a fun evening activity based on Monty Python and the quest for the holy grail.

All the kids were split up into five themed teams which included: The Lumberjacks, The Ministry of Silly Walks and Philosophers.  The kids spent a period with their teams making togas and practicing their silly walks.  Next we did a silly relay race including tying shoes and playing catch.  After a delicious lunch of grilled cheese, the kids went on to a very silly afternoon of activities like dodgeball and various improv games.

And finally, for evening activity, the kids participated in “Advill and the Quest for the Holy Grail.”  A scavenger hunt planted around the village, the kids had to compete in various activities to gain clues to aide their quest for the holy grail.

We sure had a silly and adventurous day yesterday, so the kids turned in for an early evening to prepare for trip prep today!

Happy Trails,
