[UPDATE 5:59 PM:  The kids have arrived at their respective campsites and are setting up and cooking dinner in the beautiful ADK]

It was unseasonably chilly this morning, but the cold air didn’t stop any of the trips from getting out and on the road before 8AM this morning. Today all of the kids will be spending the bulk of their time in the buses heading north, and will be settling into campsites late this afternoon.

They will be calling me to check in as soon as they arrive safely at their destination and I’ll make sure and get a post up when they do.

I can’t wait to share the stories of your children’s adventures these next two weeks. As always, please feel free to contact us anytime.

Zach eigenbrodt

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Zach couldn't keep himself out of the woods when growing up. He started working at a Northern Wisconsin YMCA Camp as a wilderness trip leader while in college and fell in love with getting kids into nature. The smiles on kids faces after returning from a once in a life time wilderness experience is why he is here today. Zach brought his talents to Frost Valley YMCA, in 2014, when he started as the Trips Coordinator and soon was promoted to Adventure Director. Zach loves all forms of Wilderness exploration, though some would say his heart lies most with canoeing.
