Here at Frost Valley, we have 8 core values that guide us in everything we do. When you join one of our In-Training programs, part of your work with us is based around stewardship and giving back to the community.
We know that it isn’t a great time to gather a large group of people together to give back, but that doesn’t mean you can’t give back or support your community from your living room. Through our four-part community give back series, we will showcase different community organizations that are doing great work.
Who: In Harmony Montclair
What: Empowerment of Teens & the Community
Through our efforts, we strive to empower teens and help them realize that they can make a difference in their community. By having teens organize events, they get a chance to make an idea a reality. By performing in the Harmony Concert, teens are able to practice their skills as a performer and artist. Overall, In Harmony Montclair is a diverse group that dedicates itself to empowering teens and helping the community.
How: In Harmony Montclair is a New Jersey-based group that raises funds and awareness for local charities by organizing teen talent showcases and other events. It grew out of the efforts of Maggie Borgen and her friends over the past two years to organize a summer fundraising concert. The Harmony Concert, scheduled for August 2018, will be the fourth annual concert that Maggie has helped to run. In Harmony Montclair events are organized and performed by teens, and the group wants to show that teens can make a difference in their community. In Harmony Montclair strives to create change locally.
