EVR SESSION 1 BEGINS!
Today is opening day of Summer Camp – and we couldn’t be more excited. We welcomed in 9 of the girls here for the MONTH LONG PROGRAM :)! And 28 campers for the TWO WEEK PROGRAM! It was great to see so many familiar faces and lots of new ones here to join the EVR family! The girls had a fun afternoon of playing getting to know you games and having a tour of EVR. We then had a wonderful dinner of hamburgers and homemade chocolate chip cookies for dessert! After dinner, the girls went to shower and finish moving in to their yurts. Then we parted ways to have a month long program campfire on the back porch of East Valley Lodge, and the two week program came together at the campfire ring by the yurts. We sang many songs, shared our talents and ate SMORES!!!! To finish a wonderful night the girls got ready for bed whilst listening to Emma Homer, one of our counselors from England sing and play the guitar as the fire went down.
Tomorrow is evaluation day, where the girls get to show us their talents on horseback!
