All of our AdVill campers and counselors were very disappointed last night and this morning that they had to come in early from their overnight (about midnight!) because a big storm rolled in suddenly. Even though it was rained out, everyone had a blast! The sunset was beautiful, and they built a perfect fire for cooking pizzas on. The community feel that the village has created is amazing. The entire village sat in close together in the opening at the campsite playing cards, games, music, or just chatting away.
Today was filled with lots of adventure (as usual!) camper got to choose to go on our high ropes course, or leap of faith, and later got to play on our climbing tower and low ropes courses as well! Then everyone got a little creative (and really dirty) painting flags with our Leaders-in-training who are here on camp.
Tonight, the whole village is looking forward to intense game of French Revolution, a Frost Valley favorite that is a mix of flash-light tag and manhunt.
Wish everyone sweet dreams… they have to rest up for their full-day hikes tomorrow! Some will hike over Wildcat Mountain to the east valley to visit the Frost Valley farm. While some will hike Table Mountain, one of the Catskill high peaks (there are some sweet views from the top.) Others will hike up the famous (and trail-less) Doubletop Mountain, known for a plane crash that happened near the summit.
