Mustang: Bareback riding, theme day x2 and pony painting!!

The Mustang girls have had so much fun the last few days!

Saturday: The girls started off the day by making their own banana boats which they really enjoyed making and eating despite the fact they had all just eaten breakfast!! Next up was waterfront where the girls had great fun using our water trampoline, jungle gym, swimming and playing on the beach!

In the afternoon, the girls got a chance to try bareback riding! They all did a really good job, considering it is very challenging and takes a lot of balance and concentration to stay on and steer with no saddle or stirrups. They all had fun doing it too which was very enjoyable and pleasing to see!! They then got to paint the horses which they thought was hilarious, and the horses got a cooling rinse off after! Winning.

That evening, the girls had an epic game of camouflage which involves them getting covered in mud and grass and hiding in the bushes so the counselors have to spot them! Loads of fun…I mean who doesn’t love getting ferns stuck in their hair right?! The girls really loved it and played really nicely together!

Sunday (Horses Day off) : In the morning the girls got the opportunity to sleep in, which was much needed as the go go go environment that is camp was starting to get on top of them! After sleeping until about 10, we headed up to the dining hall for brunch and a special treat…they had ice cream for breakfast!! Safe to say, they were all very happy!! After brunch, Animal theme day started!! The girls all had their faces painted and dressed up as different animals!! They had lots of fun pretending to be their animal! They then drew posters and presented their animals and some facts about them, which taught me a lot!! We then played assorted games until dinner. After dinner the girls went to the theater and watched ‘Free Willy’ which they thoroughly enjoyed, and we thought it tied in well with our animal theme day and also a relaxing Sunday!!

Monday (All Camp): Today is Nintendo theme day with the whole of camp!! The girls have had the chance to dress up as different Nintendo characters and compete in challenges in order to rescue the princesses! This morning they played water games and also some did archery whilst others did human bowling with our giant earth ball! This afternoon has lots more epic activities in store! The girls are having a great time but are definitely looking forward to getting back on their horses tomorrow!!
