Although Summer has officially come to a close, things have not slowed down at Frost Valley YMCA.  We continue to welcome a number of school groups and visitors each week.  This week, we we happy to welcome students from the Green Vale School in Old Brookville, NY, as well as Léman Preparatory School from Manhattan.  The students from both schools visited our outdoor classroom—the forest, fields, hiking trails, lakeshore, and riverbeds—where education lives and breathes.

Students from the Léman Manhattan Preparatory School had the opportunity to escape from the city for a few days and take advantage of our location on 6,000 acres in the heart of the Catskill Forest Preserve.  Our enthusiastic outdoor environmental educators come to Frost Valley from all over the U.S and the world to create a truly memorable experience for students, including those from the Green Vale School and the Léman Manhattan Preparatory School. We work closely with teachers to build a unique program for their students from our famous class offerings that blend time outdoors with learning.

Frost Valley is happy to continue working with schools and organizations that emphasize similar core values that we do. The Green Value School’s motto is Optima Durant which translates to ‘The Best Endures’, which highlights their constant effort to elevate learning through a deep engagement with the community. Léman Manhattan Preparatory School is an international learning community committed to educating, empowering and inspiring students from early childhood through 12th Grade to be confident, independent critical thinkers. These are both ideals that resonate with us at Frost Valley.

Thank you to the Green Vale School and to the Léman Manhattan Preparatory School for bringing your students to the Frost Valley YMCA. We were thrilled to have you on our campus, participating in our programs!
