The sun is out at EVR & boy is it HOT!
The first full day of East Valley Ranch Session 1 is coming to an end and it was a fast paced one. We started the morning with flag raising, saying what we were thankful for and doing our traditional morning “ride ride ride that pony” anthem. The girls then enjoyed a delicious breakfast of cheesy eggs, potato pancakes and sausage.
After breakfast we had a tour of the barn and went through the barn rules. Then we all played games such as Mafia, Indian Chief and Splat which was hilarious, followed by some crafts – the yurts are now decorated with “I Love Justin Bieber” posters and horse drawings.
Following lunch the girls had rest hour and the remainder of the afternoon was spent at the barn doing evaluation rides, which went AWESOME and practicing their grooming and tacking skills.The girls all fell in love with the ponies – of course 🙂 they are too cute!
The girls had yurt/shower time straight after dinner and are now currently watching a horsey movie and resting for the long day ahead of them tomorrow when they are matched to their ponies and riding level groups!
We had an amazing day and can’t wait to see what tomorrow holds – hopefully more sunshine 🙂
