Vermont Voyagers are having a great time so far. Our first group spent time climbing the past two days and LOVED the rappelling portion today. Our guides were great and taught everyone how to belay before letting them start trying their luck on the wall. The group navigated cracks, bends and walls of varying levels. Be sure to ask your campers what the A, B, C, D & E’s of climbing are when they get home!
Our second group started by biking yesterday and added some hiking into today. Biking along the lake was cool, and although they didn’t reach the summit of the mountain, it was still a great bonding opportunity and great exercise!
The weather held out for both groups for activities, and everyone has been getting along well in the campsite. Favorite activities include ultimate frisbee and mafia (a logic game in which participants sit in a circle and must figure out what role each person plays in the group in their imaginary village), along with cards and general “hanging out.”
That’s it for now. The first group will now bike and hike over the next two days and the second group will climb. Everyone starts sailing on Sunday. Chat to y’all soon!
