The bus ride down to West Virginia was filled with intellectual debates, scrabble, and cards—as well anticipation of what was to come.  The group rolled into camp around 9:00pm, just in time to set up tents and head to bed.

Tuesday was filled with low ropes in the morning (teambuilding), with climbing in the afternoon.  Everyone did an amazing job and are settling in nicely at there new home, ACE Adventure Center.

Wednesday was “duckie” rafting day down the Upper New River and with all the rain that the east coast has been having, it was an adventure!  Most everyone was in a double duckie, making the experience twice as much fun!

(More to come very soon and I also hear that pictures are on there way! Yeah!!!)

About the Author

Zach eigenbrodt

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Zach couldn't keep himself out of the woods when growing up. He started working at a Northern Wisconsin YMCA Camp as a wilderness trip leader while in college and fell in love with getting kids into nature. The smiles on kids faces after returning from a once in a life time wilderness experience is why he is here today. Zach brought his talents to Frost Valley YMCA, in 2014, when he started as the Trips Coordinator and soon was promoted to Adventure Director. Zach loves all forms of Wilderness exploration, though some would say his heart lies most with canoeing.
