Zach first came to Frost Valley in June 2014 as an Adventure Trip Coordinator. Today, as the Director of Camping Services, he strives to create spaces for people to enjoy the great outdoors at their capacity. Whether it is seeing the stars or exploring trails, he feels that it is important for our guests to have meaningful experiences and connect with nature. He is inspired by seeing the effect of camp on campers. Listening to camper’s stories, seeing them full of energy and confidence, and hearing about lessons they’ve learned at camp makes the job worth it for him. Described by his peers as level-headed, a calm force, supportive, ready to jump in at any time and assist with whatever is needed all while managing his own work duties. Congratulations on winning Employee of the Month!

About the Author

Frost Valley YMCA

Frost Valley YMCA is a 5,500-acre, year-round camp - There's something for everyone here in the Valley. From group and family retreats to overnight camps to horse camps to teambuilding, we've got you covered. School groups love taking a three-night field trip to explore the natural world and learn about the environment and their classmates. Family weekends are the perfect getaway for the young and the young at heart. Teambuilding retreats afford corporate, collegiate, religious, and other groups the opportunity to challenge themselves and effectively work toward common goals. In the summertime we're where kids and teens gain independence, explore the world, and make lifelong friends through various camps such as traditional sleepaway camp, farm camp, horse camp, adventure trips, survival camp, and day camp.
