Harvest Day at the Farm
Sundays are always special, and yesterday was no exception. After an ice cream sundae brunch, and a double rest hour, campers began working on our magical Harvest Day. On Harvest Day, each yurt creates a dish that showcases farm ingredients, and we share all these dished at a communal pot-luck dinner. Yesterday we enjoyed: Kale Chips, Empanadas, Raspberry Muffins, Zucchini Bread, Salad with Dressing, Zucchini and Cauliflower Fritters, and Mashed Potatoes! It was a delicious meal that we all got to enjoy together.
Today, campers signed up for new specialties including: Dance, Drama, Archery, Arts & Crafts and Hiking! Tonight, we had a Challenge Night with Al. At Challenge Night, campers compete in various activities like Limbo and Simon Says. After the evening program, Al told us one of his amazing stories titled “The Lights Over the Lake.” It was a great way to end the evening.
We’ve had a great few days, and we can’t believe there are only three full days left in Session 2!
