The 2 week girls have had a very eventful weekend whilst having a break from their normal schedule. On Saturday we had bareback day where all of the girls get to ride without a saddle. Riding bareback is a really good way to improve your riding position because it is much harder to ride without a saddle and you can feel the horses movements a lot easier. The girls all really enjoyed themselves and most of them got to ride a different horse too. As well as riding, they also braided some of the horses and washed them to make them super clean and shiny. In the afternoon we made the most of the hot weather and cooled down by playing some water games like water balloon fights, a water obstacle course and the slip ‘n slide. The evening was a big dance party for everyone and the girls had a lip sync competition where they came up with a routine to a song that they all knew. In the end they were all so good that we couldn’t decide and they were all winners!

Yesterday was theme day and our theme was Pirates vs Vikings! We split all of the girls up so that half of them were pirates and the other half were Vikings and we then set them various different challenges to see which group would win!  It was an extra special theme day as Mustang village came to visit us and take part in all of our activities. The girls spent time in the morning dressing up and making boats out of cardboard before competing in a treasure hunt and playing water balloon volleyball against each other. After a snack of banana boats and a nice cool rest hour in the basement we turned the afternoon into a giant water fight! We had races on the slip ‘n slide and dodged a sprinkler before trying to get the other team as wet as possible. The Mustang girls sadly had to leave us and get back to main camp in the evening, but they all left saying what a great day they had had! Today it’s back to riding and activities and some of the girls have been riding out on trails!
