Let the Adventures Begin!
Our adventure trips are off! After the opening campfire on Sunday night, and a busy pack-out on Monday, our Maine Coast trip headed out for their 2 week adventure Monday afternoon. Early this morning we said goodbye to our trips who are heading out this session. Vermont Voyagers, set out to sail and kayak on Lake Champlain, the Adirondack Trail Builders are headed to do some good service work, the Adirondack Paddlers were ready to be on the water, and the Female Leadership Long Trail crew is excited grow in their leadership along their path! Additionally, our AiT group left for their trip to the Adirondacks, where they will be taking a Leave No Trace trainer course, backpacking in the high peaks, and finishing up with a few days of climbing!
While the trips are out on their adventures we’ll post a mid-trip update, and then you can expect pictures to be posted once the campers arrive back next week!Â
For Adventure Village, we still get to keep the kids around for this week! They opened their campfire Sunday night with a trust walk through the woods. Monday and Tuesday the campers were busy laughing and giggling, learning camping skills and challenging themselves at the climbing tower and high ropes elements! They also played UTK (Ultimate Turbo Kickball), and had a blast getting out of their comfort zones and getting a little muddy before cleaning and cooling off in the creek. The adventure continues tomorrow! Â
