Making raspberry mint tea at the garden

“Specialties” are four- or five-day classes, meant to teach skills or incite topical interest over a progression of meetings. Alex, our gardener, teaches a gardening specialty at…well, where else? — at the garden (and greenhouse), located in the old Forstmann apple orchard (apple trees still producing there), what was once, at camp, our archery range. I stopped by to visit the last of the four-day specialty last week and found the campers making raspberry mint tea. They put the ingredients in a blender and hopped on a bicycle Alex has rigged to enable them to pedal-power the blender. They generously offered me some of the tea. Very minty — but tasty! One of the guys proudly showed me around the greenhouse.
