Mini-Trips Return!!

All mini-trips have arrived safe and sound back on camp! People cleaned up gear, took showers and rested for a bit before heading over for one last surprise tonight! Most of AdVill headed over to Pete’s Pavillion for a final evening out before returning to their platform tents tonight. They packed up dinner supplies, took the mountain boards and headed out to have a great night with a beautiful view. The backpackers were the only group not heading to Pete’s, as they made their back to camp a bit later after having hiked 14 miles yesterday and completing another good stretch of trail today. They decided to eat in town before arriving back for showers and sleep!

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Zach couldn't keep himself out of the woods when growing up. He started working at a Northern Wisconsin YMCA Camp as a wilderness trip leader while in college and fell in love with getting kids into nature. The smiles on kids faces after returning from a once in a life time wilderness experience is why he is here today. Zach brought his talents to Frost Valley YMCA, in 2014, when he started as the Trips Coordinator and soon was promoted to Adventure Director. Zach loves all forms of Wilderness exploration, though some would say his heart lies most with canoeing.
