Olympix Final Preparations!

Today is the last day of the two day all camp specialty, The Olympix!

The Olympix is always the highlight of Session 2 and today the event will reach its peak when we celebrate all the countries and cultures represented in our closing ceremony tonight.

This morning the teams all met on Filreis field to frame the day and they donned their freshly designed t shirts and shortly afterwards headed to the first activity of the day.

There has been a break in the weather and it has cooled down significantly and we even had some rain showers which didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits.

Be prepared for lots of Olympix photo’s on smugmug over the next few days and be prepared for some awesome stories from your camper when they return home! The following photo’s were of team Ireland this morning prepping for a day of shenanigans!

Ashley Loftus

Ashley is in her third year working at Frost Valley YMCA. Hailing from Co.Waterford in Ireland, Ashley is on an 18 month training visa, working as the Assistant Wawayanda Director in Summer and as a Program Instructor year round. Her background is in digital media with a degree in Digital Media and Communications from the University of Wolverhampton. Ashley found herself working for theater companies and after school programs for youth's and sought some new experiences here in the States that would fulfill her passion for working with young people and in the outdoors.
