We’ve been making the best of some rain by playing in the mud and having a grand old time. In the early afternoon yesterday Adventure Village played one of my favorite games of all time; Ultimate Turbo Kickball. All the bases are fully loaded with Mud, Paint, and all sorts of materials to get silly and dirty with. In the morning, the village got to do some zip lining and ropes elements, and then we had a big cook-off with our backcountry stoves. As one of the judges, I can safely say that I’ve never tasted such creative pancake-pizza hybrids! We rounded out the day with some creek time.

Today, the whole village is getting ready for their mini trips, which leave tomorrow! They’re currently packing out their gear and food that they will need for their 4-5 adventure. We’re so excited for them!

An update for our two-week Adventure trips; they are doing really well and have been checking in regularly with us. The Long Trail gals in Vermont continue to trek on; their plan is to summit Mount Mansfied, the highest in the state, soon. Maine Coasters are finishing their 3 days of climbing today and will begin their kayaking portion soon. Our White Mountains trip just finished their hiking portion and will begin to climb on Sunday. Our Habitat for Humanity Trip has been working super hard in the restore and today gets a fun day of climbing in!

Below are some pictures of all the fun the Village has been having. Tomorrow, look for pictures in front of the trip center as they depart for their mini trips!
