Today is the day! All of the 2-week Teen Adventure Trips departed for a once in a lifetime experience.

They started the session off by playing ice-breaker games, taking their swim tests, and getting excited for their trips. After the first night here on camp, we dove right into gear and food pack-out making sure we have all of the gear we would need as a group for the next 2 weeks. Teams were formed with some fun team building activities and then they all sat down to start really thinking about what they want to accomplish on their trip by setting smart goals.

All the trips are out for the next 8 days and will return July 12th in the afternoon. We were able to get a quick photo of their entire trip group before they left early this morning. Enjoy and we will send you an update again mid week!

Zach eigenbrodt

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Zach couldn't keep himself out of the woods when growing up. He started working at a Northern Wisconsin YMCA Camp as a wilderness trip leader while in college and fell in love with getting kids into nature. The smiles on kids faces after returning from a once in a life time wilderness experience is why he is here today. Zach brought his talents to Frost Valley YMCA, in 2014, when he started as the Trips Coordinator and soon was promoted to Adventure Director. Zach loves all forms of Wilderness exploration, though some would say his heart lies most with canoeing.
