Adventure Village Mini-Trips are on their way!!

Excitement was in the air as everyone gathered at the trip center bright and early this morning to begin their mini-trips! After a final gear check and a quick breakfast everyone headed out into the woods to start their adventures. The Adirondack Canoeing, Adirondack Backpacking, and Climbing mini-trips will be returning on Wednesday, 7/25 and the the Catskill Backpacking and Merrell Pavilion Hike will return on Tuesday, 7/24. We can’t wait to hear about the meaningful experiences they have and the incredible stories they will share when they return! Here are photos of the groups before leaving today:

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Zach couldn't keep himself out of the woods when growing up. He started working at a Northern Wisconsin YMCA Camp as a wilderness trip leader while in college and fell in love with getting kids into nature. The smiles on kids faces after returning from a once in a life time wilderness experience is why he is here today. Zach brought his talents to Frost Valley YMCA, in 2014, when he started as the Trips Coordinator and soon was promoted to Adventure Director. Zach loves all forms of Wilderness exploration, though some would say his heart lies most with canoeing.
