We kicked off our weekend with bareback day! This is when the girls ride horses without any saddles on. They find it very cool to be able to feel all the horses movements underneath them, and practice their balance and posture. On Saturday afternoon, they had Wacky Water Saturday- where they play water games and slip and slides. The evening ended with a trashion show- where they dress all the counsellors up in any trash they can find, and then the counsellors need to walk down the runway in their lovely outfits.

Sunday was theme day! As a tradition to fourth session at Frost Valley, we did make the world a better place. The girls all started off with yoga and meditation before brunch. At brunch they had waffles and ice cream! They then split off in to rotations, and did flower crown making, hammock hangout, song making around the campfire, and they made handprint posters and wrote how they could personally make the world a better place. We ended the day with a BBQ and a movie night! We watched The Lorax, which is about saving the trees!

Today the horses are back from their weekend off, and the girls have started their speciality week. Trails have started to go out, and girls in the arena lessons have started trotting. For the other half of the day, the girls are learning outdoor living skills, such as starting fires, leaving no trace, even how to poop in the woods. All of this is in preparation for their OVERNIGHT tonight!

Yurts 1 and 2 are going to sleep outside the barn, underneath the stars, listening to the horses in the back paddock behind them. Yurts 3 and 5 are heading down to the farm sleeping at our overnight spot there in the woods, listening to the frogs chirping in the creak beside them. The 4 weekers and the WITs are riding up to the hayfields, and sleeping in our new lean-tos. They will then ride back down tomorrow morning as the sun starts to rise!

Hope you all had a great weekend! Is it really the last week of camp already?!
