Today was our first all camp theme day of the summer! Every Sunday starts off with brunch, everyone gets to sleep in a little bit later than normal (which after a long and active week is really appreciated). After brunch and a rest period we all went down to the soccer field to have our annual USA vs. Rest of the World staff soccer game. Everyone enjoyed a snack and watched an exciting game that finished 4-2 in favor of our international staff.
Afterwards we had our Small World’s Fair. Our staff from different parts of the world set up booths to celebrate their cultures and to share with our campers what makes their country special. We had booths from Colombia, England, France, Portugal, Vietnam, Mexico, and many more. Our campers had a blast learning more about their counselors.
After dinner the celebrations continued with our Frost Valley’s Got Talent show. Campers and staff from different villages and programs at Frost Valley showcased their talents. Acts included music, dance, lip sync, spoken word poetry, and others. Enthusiastic applause followed each act. It was great seeing our campers support each other’s performances.
Lastly, we all watched fireworks together to celebrate the 4th of July this week. There were ooooos and ahhhhs a plenty. Overall, another great day in the Valley.
