Howdy Farm Camp Families! Can you believe there are only two full days left? We certainly can’t. Here’s a question for you: Whaddya call a sleeping cow?!
On Monday, campers signed up for this week’s specialties. Some of the specialties offered this week:
Barn: learning about and interacting with the animals
Garden: discovering all the different benefits of plants
Ropes Course: heading a mile down the road to experience all the challenge courses we have
Music Exploration: bringing instruments and vocal chords to create songs and enjoy music
Cooking & Games: making food using garden resources, then snacking on it and playing games
Time Travel: going back and forward in time, of course
Fun activity/ honorable mention for Tuesday: the FiTs, (Farmers in Training- teen leadership program), helped our property manager/ long-time camp legend, Beth, stack hay today. What this means is that they went out into the field where the hay bales were and they placed all the bales on a truck so that they could be brought to the barn. Something really great about Frost Valley is that we utilize as many resources from our own land as possible. One of these resources is our grass which we turn into hay for our barn animals.
Answer to the question: A BULL-DOZER!
