Farm Camp Session 1 has been off to a fun filled start. The past few days we have been busy gardening, learning about animal care, and many other adventures around camp!
Every day our campers wake up before breakfast and head out to chores. Each yurt helps around the farm with goat milking, mucking the barn, collecting eggs, or setting up for meals. We have some expert milkers here at Farm Camp! After chores, we head to flag raising to set the stage for the day. Our core value of the day today was community!
After breakfast we have specialty, an activity that the campers get to choose to attend every day this week. Our morning specialties this week are embroidery, advanced animal care, gardening, nature art, and SPACE! Our afternoon specialties include: basic animal care, more gardening, stuffed animal making, gnome homes, and Adventure College. There are so many wonderful options, I am not sure how everyone was able to choose! Stay tuned to the blog to learn more about what the specialties are up to throughout the week.
Last night, we played a game called “Boppers”. During the game, the campers split into groups and try to complete challenges around camp, all while avoiding being bopped (which freezes the team). Once they had all of the challenges complete, they had to search for the Penguin Fairy that had hidden on camp. It is such a fun game for all.
We are looking forward to 4th of July tomorrow… stay tuned for an update on our 4th of July theme day!
