Farm Camp is very excited to welcome Session 1 Campers to camp this week. The weather has been very warm, but the campers are doing a great job drinking water and taking breaks in the shade. The past few days we have been busy gardening, learning about animal care, and many other adventures around camp!
Every day our campers wake up before breakfast and head out to do chores. Each yurt helps around the farm with goat milking, mucking the barn, collecting eggs, or setting up for meals. After chores, we head to flag raising to set the stage for the day.
After breakfast we have two specialties in the morning and one speciality in the afternoon. These are activities that the campers get to choose to attend every day this week. Our specialties this week include: sports, animal care, gardening, Wool 101, Nature Arts and Crafts, Wilderness Warriors, Painting, and Mindfulness.
There are so many wonderful options, I am not sure how everyone was able to choose! Throughout the session we will update the blog with more details about the specialties.
Sunday Night, we had our opening campfire with lots of songs and skits. Monday and Tuesday have been filled with water games and slip ‘n slide time. It was great to see the Farm Camp community come together to kick off the summer. Come back later this week and see what the farm is up to!
