Harry Potter Mania!

Even though it was a rainy day at Frost Valley, campers still had a blast participating in our third session all camp, Harry Potter day! Funnily enough, today is Harry Potter’s birthday! How lucky are we to be able to celebrate Harry’s birthday in such a way. Campers spent the day split up into the four houses and went around to different locations. They participated in Harry Potter Trivia, the Triwizard Tournament, Quidditch Practice, and the Battle for Hogwarts. During dinner to show off their house spirit, campers were sat according to their Hogwarts houses and sang the school song instead of grace. It was a day full of magic! Tomorrow we’ll be voting on the theme day for the 3rd session 2017 all camp, check back to see what is chosen!

Ashley Loftus

Ashley is in her third year working at Frost Valley YMCA. Hailing from Co.Waterford in Ireland, Ashley is on an 18 month training visa, working as the Assistant Wawayanda Director in Summer and as a Program Instructor year round. Her background is in digital media with a degree in Digital Media and Communications from the University of Wolverhampton. Ashley found herself working for theater companies and after school programs for youth's and sought some new experiences here in the States that would fulfill her passion for working with young people and in the outdoors.
