Build confidence and develop leadership skills!

Pathfinder trips are the next step up in our Adventure Trips. These will offer more opportunities to master skills, build greater confidence and develop leadership skills. With activities like whitewater rafting, backcountry backpacking, climbing and caving, we are able to offer an amazing, life changing outdoor experience for each camper.

West Virginia Whitewater (Grades 8-9)

Spend two weeks learning the art of whitewater rafting in the world-renowned New River Gorge. With over 25 years experience running this trip it is extremely popular and a great next step in the Adventure program. Participants will also experience caving and rock climbing as well.
**Participants must be comfortable in water and know how to swim**

Level: Introductory/Intermediate
Age: Entering 8th and 9th grade
Gender: Co-ed
Duration:12 days total (9 days on trail)
What: Whitewater Rafting, Caving, Climbing
Where: Ace Adventure Resort
Requirements: Willingness and interest by the participant to be immersed in nature and the camping lifestyle. Camping experience not required.

Long Trail Backpacker (Grades 8-9)

Join us as we hike the beginning portion of the Vermont Long Trail. The Long Trail is a 272 mile footpath the travels from Massachusetts-Vermont border to the Canadian border. This trail climbs rugged mountains and passes pristine ponds, hardwood forests and beautiful streams. Join us on an Adventure of a lifetime as we tackle sections of Vermont’s Long Trail.

Level: Intermediate
Age: Entering 8th and 9th grade
Gender: Co-ed
Duration:12 days total (9 days on trail)
What: Backpacking
Where: Vermont
Requirements: Willingness and interest by the participant to be immersed in nature and the camping lifestyle. Camping experience with Frost Valley YMCA or other program prefered but not required.
