3 canoes on lake cole

Rain, Rain, Stay Another Day!

Even with a bit of rain this afternoon, AdVill’s day went just swell!  After conquering some high elements this morning, the campers went mountain boarding this afternoon and learned some hard skills with the Adventure Counselor’s-In-Training (CITs).  People built fires, practiced leave no trace principles and set up tarps (the rain is the best time to set up tarps – you actually get to see how well they work!).

Tonight the group is just about to start a challenge night in a dry building before returning to the village to splash in a few more puddles before bed!

Zach eigenbrodt

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Zach couldn't keep himself out of the woods when growing up. He started working at a Northern Wisconsin YMCA Camp as a wilderness trip leader while in college and fell in love with getting kids into nature. The smiles on kids faces after returning from a once in a life time wilderness experience is why he is here today. Zach brought his talents to Frost Valley YMCA, in 2014, when he started as the Trips Coordinator and soon was promoted to Adventure Director. Zach loves all forms of Wilderness exploration, though some would say his heart lies most with canoeing.
