Formerly a Program Coordinator, Brett has stepped up to take the role of Director of our School Trips Program. Brett studied biology and philosophy at the University of Delaware, followed by stints as an environmental educator at Camp Highland Outdoor Science School in Cherry Valley, California and PEEC (Pocono Environmental Education Center) in Pennsylvania, his home state. Brett works together with teachers and parent volunteers from September through June as school children discover the science and fun of Frost Valley’s outdoor world.
Emily Fonti-Lomauro is a School Programs Coordinator at Frost Valley YMCA. She has been at Frost Valley for over 5 years. Emily holds a degree in Environmental Studies from Binghamton University. Before coming to Frost Valley, Emily led high school students in conservation projects in our National Parks as well as led environmental education programs for various organizations. She is responsible for working directly with schools to plan trips and leading the team of program staff. Emily’s focus and passion is building a child’s awareness and appreciation of the world around them through hands-on, student-centered learning.
