Session 1 Comes to a Close!
Things are happening quickly around camp as the mini trips arrived home Wednesday afternoon safely and glowing with stories! Each trip preformed a skit about their before we announced the Bone Head award recipient and the U Rock award recipient. A ceremony where we celebrate our failures/short comings and rejoice in the learning process that allows us to grow and move forward, via theatrical reenactment. See photos of the trips on smugmug and some here below.
This morning Adventure Village arose to flag raising and a delicious breakfast. Throughout the day we took in our last day at camp with some smaller activities like Ministry of Silly Walks, the Leap of Faith, and Archery before heading back to the village to clean up and pack up. Before dinner, in true summer camp fashion we spoiled our appitites with ice cream!
Closing ceremony was held in the village, tears were shed.
Happy Trails,

Zach eigenbrodt
Born and raised in Wisconsin, Zach couldn't keep himself out of the woods when growing up. He started working at a Northern Wisconsin YMCA Camp as a wilderness trip leader while in college and fell in love with getting kids into nature. The smiles on kids faces after returning from a once in a life time wilderness experience is why he is here today. Zach brought his talents to Frost Valley YMCA, in 2014, when he started as the Trips Coordinator and soon was promoted to Adventure Director. Zach loves all forms of Wilderness exploration, though some would say his heart lies most with canoeing.
