Smiles everywhere a week into session 2

Wow. Everywhere I go I’m seeing kids really really happily doing activities. Gaga in the gaga pit. The Creative Writing (journalism) specialty. Games with the big long foam noodles. The AiTs involved in a contest I couldn’t figure out. Pokey-Totem girls delirious and gleeful on the—what is that thing called?—the thing, as VC Sabrina rocks them up and down. (Then those kids chased me and wanted more photos taken of them!)
It’s just downright heartening to be here and to be surrounded by this joy.
