Stewardship Saturday!

Saturdays are always interesting during the summer at Frost Valley. With our Activities team away for the day the schedule is different than the rest of the week. This leads to some really creative programming, today being a perfect example. Here are some of the things that happened:

Tacoma and Windsong had a ‘New Year’s Eve’ Theme day today with dance practice happening as a combined group and New Year’s resolutions made.

While that was happening Hemlock, Lenape, and Pac were doing a combined meditation together by Reflection Pond. Afterwards Pac made their way to the screen printing studio to make some customized t shirts.

The day ended like all Saturdays at Frost Valley traditionally do, with a spaghetti and meatball dinner and the Dance. With sticking to the theme that Tacoma and Windsong had been doing all day, the dance is a New Year’s Eve celebration with a dropping of the ball at 10pm. Happy 2017 and 1/2!

Morgan Theze

Born in New York but raised in Ireland, Morgan has spent every summer he can remember flying back to the US to attend summer camps. Over the years that Morgan worked at a well-regarded private camp in Maine, he took on many roles including Cabin Counselor, Head of Rocks and Ropes, Program Director, and Operations Director. Morgan began working at Frost Valley as a program instructor in 2014, leading activities for our schools and weekend programs, before becoming our Director of Camp Henry Hird. Campers at Camp Henry Hird range in age from 13 to 16. Morgan loves working with this age group as he finds that this is the time of their life where they form into unique individuals and discover the values that they will hold with them for the rest of their lives.
