Strong Start
Good Evening from East Valley Ranch! We have had a jam packed, fun, and HOT first two days at camp! Monday morning we started out with our first ride of the session, waking up every returner’s muscle memory, and teaching all our new friends how we ride at Frost Valley. We also all got a refresher course on the basics of leading, tying, and tacking our horses.
The afternoon was filled with teambuilding, creeking, and catching up with old friends while making new ones. After dinner we played a rapid fire game of paper bag skits where camper laughs could be heard almost all the way to the farm.
This morning we found out horse assignments for the session! Everyone’s most anticipated event of the session. After riding their newly assigned horses, campers participated in a horse washing extravaganza cooling their horses down after a hot mornings work.
This afternoon entailed more games, creeking, and some long awaited time in the arts and crafts barn. After a nice cool dinner the campers enjoyed a fun and silly game of Swap! We are in for another hot day tomorrow but the campers are persisting and thriving with their new 2021 Nalgenes and positive attitudes.
