Today is a beautiful day. The sun is shining brightly, but a few drops of rain have fallen from the sky. My name is Ashley, I am one of the counselors of the oldest girls yurt. Today is my 21st birthday and all the of the kids and staff have been yelling, “Happy Birthday” my way all day! We’re almost half way through the last session and it seems like all of the kids are wanting for just a little bit more summer. I can definitely agree with them. Katie, my co and I are very happy to say that we appreciate our girls this session. They are mostly well behaved (wink wink), and they are generally sweet people. I will be sad to see them go on the last day. I will be sad that the whole Farm Camp experience is over. But today is a special day, besides the fact that it is my birthday. 😉 The weather is allowing for some of the kids favorite game, Capture the Flag. I’m going to go do my yurt rotation now. I think we have candle making!
