The Adventure Begins!

Session 3 has begun, and Adventure Camp is full of energy! Last night, the campers all settled in and attended their Opening Campfire, a time where tradition, songs, and cheers are shared and campers begin to understand what Adventure really means.

Today, both Adventure Village and Adventure Trips had a full first day of camp. The few moments of rain didn’t stop our campers! Adventure Village spent the day bonding with their tent-mates, playing games, climbing the Y-Tower and learning all about next week’s backpacking, rock climbing, and canoeing mini trips. Adventure Trip campers spent the day team-building with their groups and packing out all of their gear and food so that they are all prepared and ready to go for their trips early tomorrow morning.

Russell Frisch

Russell started his time at Frost Valley as a camper in Forest Village in 2005 and has been here ever since. He was a camper in Adventure Village, Farm Camp, and on Teen Adventure Trips before becoming an AiT and eventually a staff member in Adventure Village. He worked as the Village Coordinator for Adventure Village before working as the Assistant Adventure Director for two summers. He is very excited to be working as Adventure Director for the first time this year.
