Their Baaaccckkkk!!!

After 2 weeks, our Adventure Trips have returned home full of confidence and loaded with smiles and stories. Each trip had an amazing experience in its own way. All three trips arrived back at almost the exact time and were able to quick pack-in, stop at the health center for a routine check and celebrate as a complete Adventure Trips family!

West Virginia was able to get back to camp in record time with no bus trouble and begin pack-in early. The second part of the trip was spent doing a white water rafting overnight trip and the kids really seemed to love it. Well done West Virginia!!

White Mountains, arriving home just minutes before West Virginia and Habitat for Humanity, got a head start of the group and were able to pack-in with no troubles. After a very quick check-in at the health center, White Mountains were able to enjoy some time as a group and tell stories to other campers about their adventures. White Mountains spent their second half of the trip sea kayaking off the coast of Rhode Island, which was a very positive experience for everyone!

Habitat for Humanity had to actually work a half of a day today but was able to make it home with great spirits and energized enough to get all their gear packed in. Our Service Trip group was a huge success and built a very strong relationship with all of the volunteers at the Restore. Great job to that trip and thank you for service to the community!

Each trip was able to take numerous photo’s to help put into words the beauty and adventure that they experienced. They will be uploaded tomorrow for all to see. Again, congrats to all of the trips for a fantastic first session and for setting the bar so high for the following trips.

Happy Trails,

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Zach eigenbrodt

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Zach couldn't keep himself out of the woods when growing up. He started working at a Northern Wisconsin YMCA Camp as a wilderness trip leader while in college and fell in love with getting kids into nature. The smiles on kids faces after returning from a once in a life time wilderness experience is why he is here today. Zach brought his talents to Frost Valley YMCA, in 2014, when he started as the Trips Coordinator and soon was promoted to Adventure Director. Zach loves all forms of Wilderness exploration, though some would say his heart lies most with canoeing.
