Time Flies at Farm Camp

Hello from Farm Camp,

Tuesday we spent the afternoon in the Dining Hall because the Catskills decided to give us an afternoon thunderstorm! Our evening program was the very popular challenge night with Al. The campers were split into 4 teams and competed in a variety of challenges. The winners were able to receive their ice cream sundaes first. The weather for the rest of the week looks a little rainy, but the campers and staff are ready to make the best of it.

This week’s specialities include dance, bread and butter, crocheting, gardening, animal care, and drama. So far in the bread and butter class the campers have made 2 types of breads and their own butter. It is a great class to be a part of if you like a mid morning snack. The gardening specialty has been harvesting lots of kales, greens and sugar peas. We are excited to see the raspberries ripening.

Farm Camp campers have also been enjoying camper choice activities which range from gaga ball tournaments to painting under shady tree to boating. It is great to see the campers experiencing different activities throughout the session.

It is hard to believe that it is already Wednesday. This session has gone by so fast. The campers have formed a great community that is supportive and caring of each other. Our last evening program will be our closing campfire on Thursday. It will be exciting to see the campers and staff perform skits and songs.
