West Virginia – Cruising Now!

Our West Virginia crew is back up and running full speed.  They made it to ACE Adventure Center around noon yesterday, set up camp and jump right into their first activity: mud obstacle course!  They navigated a series of logs, jumps, divits and hills in knee to waist-high water/mud.  The group had a blast and jumped right into duckies today (big inflatable kayaks).  The rapids were great, the spills awesome and the guides amazing.  The weather has really held out and the group is getting along really well overall.  Everyone is chatting with each other, including group members and reaching out to make connections with other campers they do no know as well.

Overall, everything is going well and the group is having a lot of fun!  That’s it for now, and we’ll be updating the blog in just a few more days.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Zach eigenbrodt

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Zach couldn't keep himself out of the woods when growing up. He started working at a Northern Wisconsin YMCA Camp as a wilderness trip leader while in college and fell in love with getting kids into nature. The smiles on kids faces after returning from a once in a life time wilderness experience is why he is here today. Zach brought his talents to Frost Valley YMCA, in 2014, when he started as the Trips Coordinator and soon was promoted to Adventure Director. Zach loves all forms of Wilderness exploration, though some would say his heart lies most with canoeing.
